Q's-Pelampung (Beef Lung)

Perak has it's own specially dish. Just to name a few that I'm aware ie. Rendang Tok, Ayam Lengkuas, Pelampung and etc. Here I like to share with you the Recipe - Pelampung.

Wash, clean and boiled 1 kg Beef Lung. Once cook remove,
leave it to cool and cut into small cube.
From top right  clockwise - Fried and pound fine 3 nos Cardamon
seed, 10 nos Cloves, 2 nos Star Anise &  2" Cinnamon Stick,
500 ml Coconut Milk,  Sliced - 20gm Garlic, 80gm Shallot & 30 gm
 Ginger, 1 no Chili half & remove seed, 1 stick Lemongrass mash,
and 2 pcs Tanrmirin skin.

Boiled 500 ml Coconut Milk mix w 500 ml water  till "break".
Then add in all ingredients and stir till well blend. 
Cook in mid-low fire till gravy all dry up.
Remove and serve.

Q's-Seaweed Jelly

There are many methods to cook this fresh seaweed. Some prefer it as drink and some prefer it in jelly. You can also add in ingredients like Dried Longan, Kei Chee, Pak Hub, North and/or South Almond or even Sea Coconut.
Here I like to share with you the step-by-step on how to cook the Seaweed Jelly my way.

Step 1 - Weight 50 gm of the dried seaweed and
soak in pipe water for about 8 to 10 hours or till it is soft
and is clear in colour.
Step 2 - This is how it look like after number of hours soaking.
Drain dry.
Step 3 - Here I add in (from top left clockwise) 10gm Pak Hub,
20gm Dried Longan,  50gm Cube Rock Sugar,
10gm North/South Almond and 2 liter Water
Step 4 - Boiled in medium fire and keep stirring till
seaweed dissolved. Portion out and once cool store in fridge
overnight.
Step 5 -  Now it's ready to eat..
You can also substitute water with Fresh Soyabean Milk.  The step is the same as above. Below is how it look like.
